Microsoft Windows Cluster - .Net agent config

Hi,

We have a customer with three identical Windows Servers, and one of them is instrumented (IIS and app pools).

Is there a way to mirror both, web agent module config and .Net app pools config from, one server in the cluster to the other two? (probably using same webconfig file and changing wsagent.ini and some related net config files?)

Just to save time and effort since they are running over 25 app pools and doing it manually takes some time and prone to error.

Any thoughts or previous experience on that?

Bests,
Carlos.

Carlos,

You're on the right track, first install the agent msi (which you can w/ a silent install if you'd like https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/...).

For IIS, copy and replace the web.conf file and dtwsagent.ini and restart the Web Agent service and IIS.

For .NET, you'll need to copy over the registry keys for the .NET agents and ensure the environment variables are set and restart all IIS Services.

We also have a GitHub that has many scripts for agent automation if you're interested: https://github.com/Dynatrace

Hope this helps!
