Monitoring Dynatrace Front End Service


Is there a way to catch when the Dynatrace Front End service stops accepting new connections? We seem to have this issue and haven't come up with a viable monitoring solution to know when our Dynatrace server stops accepting new login connections from the client.

From what we've seen, users already connected aren't affected. The Front End Service is still running but not accepting new connections. Web Dashboard logins do not seem to be affected when this happens.

There is a self-monitoring measure called "Client socket connections". it gives you the current number of connected clients and their open sockets. Check this metric and see when it reaches an upper limit.

Also - I would assume that the frontend server logs an entry in case it does no longer accept connections
