I have installed Dynatrace 6.5 on windows 10 machine . When i launch Dynatrace client , it gives below screen to connect dynatrace Server.
Can somebody please help me to resolve this issue.
This is appmon related question, should be on different forum 🙂 Tag is wrong as well.
You should go to Services. Check there if Frontend Server and Server services are running. If yes, go to logs and check information there. In general Appmon 6.5 is really old one. Built in certificates are expired, so Frontend will not be able to connect to backend servers using SSL connection. It's not easy task to allow connection using unencrypted connection, you have to reset SSL certificates for servers, connect than via client and recreate certificates again. What I'm doing is opening regedit. There you can find keys related to start parameters for Frontend and Backend servers. You have there start command. Add there params for resetting certificates mentioned here:
Start Frontend Server and Server again. Do it as well for collector:
After this operation remove added parameters in regedit for all services. Than you should be able to connect using Appmon Client and recreate certificates using wizard:
After this operation components will restart.
I see as well that you are using port 6699, you should use 2021 for appmon client.
Hello Sawant, I assume you wanted to install a trial of Dynatrace Managed but installed a quite old version of Dynatrace AppMon instead. Please note that Dynatrace (formerly known as ruxit) and AppMon are different products (though both offered by the company Dynatrace).
As already stated in other threads, there is no trial version for DT Managed. You need to contact a sales person if you want to try it out in your environment.
