Need the JTA Sensor without getStatus() method

mike_gardner
Guide

Our system uses Java EE / JPA / Hibernate. I really want to see JTA transaction begins / commits / rollbacks. Unfortunately, something in the lower tiers of the code was repeatedly calling getStatus() within the JTA sensor, and my 10,000 node limit is reached with 9,500 of the nodes being getStatus(). I had to inactivate the JTA sensor.

Is it true that I can't exclude a method from a Dynatrace-supplied sensor? Is there any way I can use the JTA sensor, but exclude the getStatus() method?

I'm running AppMon 6.5.7.

Thanks, Mike

Hello Mike,

You can exclude the getStatus(*) from the sensors pack.

Open the client in the Debug Mode (Ctrl + Alt + F9) and then select Settings > dynaTrace Server > Sensor Packs then Select the JTA Sensor Pack and Edit and drop down the Place and select the Exclude.

I hope this will be helpful for you.

Babar
