.Net core 2.0 support

Hi All,

I have installed dynatrace appmon agent 7.0 on my windows server 2012 R2 server which runs .net application on .net core 2.0. Once I hook the agent I get error ".NET core is not supported by this agent type (dtagentcore.dll). Configure your system profile to use oneagent (Oneagentdotnet.dll)". I previously read an article regarding the same mentioning Appmon 7.0 has support for .net core from below link :

https://www.dynatrace.com/news/blog/monitoring-net...

Please help on how to instrument the application using appmon.

Regards,

Gopikrishnan

I see the AppMon agent platform has beta support for .NET Core but don't see 2.0 specified so that may not be included in 7.0.

If you want to try and see if it works at all regardless you'll have to switch the agent platform from classic to AppMon:

Hi
I was able to perform this procedure on a client and it worked normally.
But it has to be the agent and AppMon 7.1

Well even I did the same procedure as mentioned in

https://www.dynatrace.com/support/doc/appmon/insta...

and it worked. Only thing is that the exact ports need to opened and my appmon was still 7.0.

Hi @gopikrishnan r.,

I get this situation recently, in my environment. I neeeded upgrade my AppMon to 7.1 and switch de agent from classic to OneAgent.

After this procedure, it was necessary to restart the agents. Now the .Net Core transactions is being to monitoring correctly.

PS: This is a beta function in AppMon
