Performance Warehouse - Database Migration - Azure

kylec

Hi team,
I am going to be attempting a SQL database (Performance Warehouse) migration into Azure.

I would like to know if anyone has done this before and had any issues doing so? Such as any loss/corruption of AppMon Specific data?

If you've done it without issue that would be great to know also.
Thank you

Follow up on this, I have done some testing around this myself. It appears that Azure SQL databases do not allow Global Temp Tables which appears to be a requirement for the Performance Warehouse. If anyone has found away around this that would be great, housing the PW in this manner would alleviate many of our costs.

Hello Kyle,

I read sometimes before that PHW is no longer supporedt by SQL Azure but you can double check with the Dynatrace Support before your activities.

Check the below post as a reference.

Hi all,

I'm a support engineer from Dynatrace and can confirm Babar Q. is correct.

We no longer support SQL Azure since 6.1 due to scaling and stability issue.
