I was wondering if you could connect servers running different major versions (e.g. 6.5 and 7.0) to the same data warehouse. We are currently using SQL Server.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

There are two ways I could interpret your question.
1. If you mean that you want to connect two or more servers to the same named database, then this is not possible - the servers will get confused by the data and schema. This is the case regardless of which AppMon server versions are to be combined.
2. If you mean that you want to have the ability to connect to different named databases hosted on the same database server instance, then yes that is possible; as the schema will be logically separated from one another. You still should need to consider the performance of the instance and hardware it is hosted on for being appropriate enough to handle the load of multiple databases.
For further information on Performance Warehouse best practices, see the documentation available:
our situation would be the latter; we would have different schemas running on the same database instance.
Thanks for confirming that, as new clients would be using 7 while existing ones will be still running on 6.5 for another little while.
