PurePath is not showing a complete trace

Here is my configuration 1) In my sensor pack, I have capture as 'active and start PurePaths'; 2) I have a method sensor in my sensor pack with capture as 'active'.

In the PurePaths dashlet, I see my method, but the PurePath tree does not show the calls leading to my method. What am I doing wrong?

Hello Milton,

What is the situation of 'Transaction Flow' of that PurePaths?

Can you upload few screenshots as references?

Regards,

Babar

Also, the auto sensor is set at highest resolution. Attached some images.classrule.pngeditmethodrule.pngpurepath.png

Hello Milton,

PurePath size is '1', therefore, no tree information is there.

What is this technology?

Can you take the screenshot of your transaction flow?

Regards,

Babar

Do you mean this?transactionflow.png

It's a web-based application written in Java.

Yes. What is next tier?

It's Apache Tomcat to MyApp to Oracle. My method has the sensor is called within a thread. Here is the call stack from a debugger:

WorkflowServer.processEventInternal(Event) line: 666
WorkflowServer.processEvent(Event) line: 650
WorkflowService.processEvent(Variant, WorkflowEvent) line: 482
WorkflowWork.processEventDetail() line: 75
WorkflowWork(BaseEventHandler).processEvent() line: 82
Worker.doWork(ServerThread, WorkProcessor) line: 125
Worker.run() line: 46
ObjectServerThread(ServerThread).run() line: 500
ObjectServerThread.run() line: 511
Thread.run() line: 745

I'm expecting to see the full call stack.

Which version do you have?

Which platform Windows / Linux?

Client/server version 6.5.0.1289. I'm also on a trial/demo license. Dynatrace and my app is running on Red Hat 7.2

Which Tomcat version?

Tomcat 6.0.13

Hello Milton,

Please check both the highlighted options and then do the hot instrument or restart your application.

Babar

I've tried this before, but no success.

active and start PurePaths for the following sensors, if you did not test yet:

JDBC

Java Web Services

I did that, but I only see the additional JDBC information in the purepath and not what I really want. Will creating a new system profile help?jdbc.png

Check the sensors for the PurePath Percentage is 100%.

What do you see when you click on show all nodes in the PurePaths tree?

PurePath Percentage is at 100% for me. The 'Show all nodes' toggle shows me the same tree. Also, my license expired, so would that be any impact?
