Hello,

i am learning instrumentation of dyntrace for IOS mobile app, i read documents/referred links which posted in community. As of my understanding we have two method for instrumentation for dynatrace mobile agents

1. xcode plugin

2. cocoapods

For security reasons, Apple moved away from Xcode Plugins (starting with Xcode 😎 to Source Code Editor Extension, We use 2 method only. In below link i found this information. So, what about manual configuration is it part of instrumentation for either methods or do i need consider it as 3rd method (confused) ??

Sathwika,

Using Cocoapods is simply an easier way to get the agent setup and injected into your mobile app.

Even if you want to sprinkle manual instrumentation into your app, I suggest you still use the cocoapods technique.

The one exception to this suggestion is if you need to initialize the Dynatrace Mobile agent in a non standard manner, then you might explore a complete manual setup approach.
