See resources size in a user visit

Hello everyone,

we would like to see the size of resources requested by a user (like images size, pages size, etc) in DT AppMon, in order to understand what is using our bandwidth. Is it possible to extract such values from visits?

Thanks!

Hi Francesco,

Have you made sure to enable "Measure request/response sizes" in your sensor configuration? If so you should be able to see the resource size in the User Actions Dashlet as you can see here:

Hope this helps,
Dan

Hello Dan,

yes it's enabled and I see Response Time column. Thanks for specifying where to find them!

@Dan B. can you explain me which is the sensor pack that I need to use in order to activate the "Measure request/response sizes" option?

best regards,
Davide

Hello @Davide M.

Open the 'Web Server' or 'Servlet' or 'Java Web Services' sensor properties and check mark the 'Measure request/response sizes'.

Regards,

Babar

hi @Babar Q.

I opened the sensors you suggested but I didn't find the "Measure request/response sizes"
In details:
Web Server sensor pack is empty

Java Web Services and Servlets have a lot of sensors, but not the desired one. 😞

regards,
Davide
