See the usage of AppMon Dashboards

Hello friends,

after using AppMon for a while we collected too many Dashboards in our environment and now we want to remove some of them.

Is there a change to see how often a Dashboard (which has been saved on the server) has been opened?

It would be a great help for us.

Thank you for your support in advance.

Hello Christian,

I do not think there is a way to see when a dashboard was last opened.

However, in the past when looking to remove unneeded dashboards I have looked at the following for candidates to be deleted:

  • Dashboards that have not been saved in the past 6 months
  • Dashboards that are trying to display metrics that no longer exist
  • Dashboards based around a specific timeframe (normally created for triaging an issue and never deleted
  • Dashboards that are named like "Purepaths Dashboard" that were probably saved accidentally and do not need to be kept long term.
