Session id displaying as part of dynatrace URL

Hi,

When we are trying to see the URLs that are triggered to our application we have encountered some dynatrace url like below.

POST/Server-Status/dynatraceMonitor?type=js&session=MI6O...

In the above URL we see session id as well.Could you please let me know in what situations this type of URL is triggered and why the session id is appended to the URL?

This is occuring when we enable UEM for application.Can anyone tell me why session id is appended to URL?

Hello @vissu a.

To identify a visit, AppMon uses cookies. Therefore it is a technical necessity that a Webserver Agent set a temporary session cookie; otherwise UEM cannot measure a user's performance experience. This cookie is sent on the first web request and expires when the browser is closed. It is non-persistent and is not used for ad tracking. AppMon sets these first-party cookies for the sole purpose of application performance management, not for tracking a user's purchasing bias or click behavior.
