Since upgrading to 6.3, our agent overview reports the Dynatrace server not able to connect due to a license error: too many 'System Monitoring' agents connected;license exhausted;.

Can you attach a screenshot of your agents overview?

Let me know if you can read this, if not I can save the image to a file.

I am getting the same issue. Agents not matching the license type. Did you find a solution?

Hi

in a default windows installation the host monitoring agent will be installed as a windows service and I think will automatically be launched and therefore connects to your dynatrace environment. This could lead to that warning in case you do not have host monitoring agents licensed.

good news is that ANY dynatrace agent: java, .net, web server will automatically provide host monitoring metrics for the machine where the app is running. in that case you can simply disable the windows service that our default installer enables
