I see a new feature in Dynatrace AppMon 7.0 wherein there is an option of "Toggle Capturing" in Agents Overview dashlet on right-clicking on any .NET / Java agent. I did not find any documentation on it but would like to know what exactly it does? Does it disable the agent injection for the app pool the agent is monitoring in case of .NET or does it not log the data reported by the agent in Dynatrace Session Store and aggregated data in Performance Warehouse?
Are you on Debug mode by any chance? The 'Toggle Capturing' option doesn't come up unless in debug mode.
As for your question, I believe that option is the same as the 'Capture Events' checkbox in the System Profile settings, doc on that here -> https://www.dynatrace.com/support/doc/appmon/admin...
Hope that helps,
Yes, I was in debug mode. From your response, it appears that there is no way to disable agent injection from the AppMon client. The only way to disable .NET agent injection is to go to the host and deactivate the agent.
