UEM : Auto-detected applications vs Application created by user

Hi,

Since I deleted an auto detected application , and i copy settings to a logical created application, UEM doesn't work,

Is it possible to reload a deleted auto-detected application ?

Is it necessary to restart the agent when switching from "auto-detected" option to "user created application" option ?

Best Regards,

Fayçal

Hi Fayçal,

What likely happened is that the application was pulling UEM configuration from the "Default" application. What you need to do is navigate to your system profile, edit the profile, and in the User Experience section, you can now add your newly created custom application.

I don't believe you can reload a deleted application, but if traffic is generated against an app that does not match any rule, it would re-create itself. Though custom defined applications is better to use as a best practice.

No application restart is necessary for these changes.

See here for further details:

Thank You Cody,

The problem is that the application was created in the user experience section:

More details :
At the beginig there was an application TOTO

Agent group : TOTO
- Agent alias : toto : www.toto.fr

I added it to the user experience section

then an other application whith toto2 has been created

so i created a new alias in the same Agent groupe
- alias2 : toto2, but the www.toto2.fr was in the auto-deteted application

at the beging i added www.toto2.fr to the user experice section,

and the UEM was OK

but after that to be more coehrent , i deleted www.toto2.fr from the auto-detected application and i integrated it to the first one "toto"

and from this time i have no UEM

I'm not sure if I completely understand the workflow here.

However, in the agent group, you need the user experience sensor to be placed and set to active, in the application, you need to ensure that the mapping rules truly match, in your case bot toto and toto2. I would double check those details.
