When i was connecting to PW , i received the below message. Is their any impact in PW when the UTF16 test is not successful. What i need to do for the test to be successful. ?
The connection to Performance warehouse was
UTF16 capability test was not successful.
From documentation: https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/...
The test connection message reports that the database is not fully utf16 capable.
In most cases, this doesn't matter, but if you're planning to use measure names, session names, etc. which use the full spectrum of utf16 char set, the measure names may not store properly in the Performance Warehouse.
So it seems like this is just a characteristic of the database you are using for your PW.
To add on to James' answer, I had the same message in the past when connecting to the PW, and as stated above, utf16 is not a requirement. The explanation I received is that if special characters are used to name certain things such as measures or alerts, the utf16 specific characters may not store as they appear in text when translated to the PW, though it does not cause any functional issues.
