We need to split users by their IP (in order to know which unique users are doing a given operation in a precise moment).
The problem is the split values limit (5.000 by default, up to 50.000) (see attached image:).
So, when the limit is reached, the BT stops to record data in PWH so the Dashboards stop to show results.
Anyone could help us trying to solve that limitation or to choose another alternative?

A bigger splitting could affect the performance of the AppMon Server and DB. That is why we have set that limit. You could export this information to another tool like Elasticsearch, where you can store massive amount of data you can use the realtime stream
Also keep in mind that most of the time you are not really interested in having the details of more than 50K splittings (meaining that you will not analyze each split of the 50K returned.
For this kind of Unique users counting, AppMon provides the UEM functionality
https://www.dynatrace.com/support/doc/appmon/user-... . It will provide the amount of unique users.
Thank you so much. We've already know about UEM, but visits are absolutely huge to use UEM to count users.
Do you know if there is any chance to get unique users without UEM? We only need the total count of users.
The only workarounds that come to my mind is the streaming of the BT, as mention before(I have multiple clients that implemented that solution for different purposes).
Other option would be, if you have a login method you can place a sensor and count how many logins have been done (for sure this will be an aprox metric as a user that logings two times will be counted twice), it could give you a good estimation.
