User Actions and Source URL

Hi,I have been looking at the User Actions and have a question about the Source URL.

If I go to the home page of a site e.g. www.hsj.co.uk and click on a new item, I go to that page (if I am not logged it, I get a brief summary and a message about getting a subscription - This is fine).

When I look at the User Action for the click on the news item it shows the click action but the Source URL is blank, the target URL is populated.

This makes it difficult to count this action using Elasticsearch.

Is it correct not to have a Source URL?

Paul,

There was a change between 6.2 and 6.3. I'd recommend you submit a support case and reference "possible duplicate of SUPDT-21653". Your issue is not an exact duplicate but it appears to be related.

Graeme,

My Web Server agents are still at 6.2, could that be the issue?

Paul

Paul.

In a word, no. We've been good about agent-collector compatibility for many releases now. You can see the official statement here: Agent Compatibility Matrix.

I am experiencing the same issue. Dynatrace 6.3 captures visits/useractions/purepath, but the source url field is not populated. What am I doing wrong? What are the possible solutions for this?

Thanks in advance.
