When I open Dynatrace v7 in development environment it shows me 2 warnings under Dynatrace server deployment.

1.VMware-No CPU MHz reserved.

2.VMware-No memory reserved.

Please find the screenshot for the same:

I this a serious issue?

can this be ignored?

Do I have to do any configurations to avoid such warnings?

Hi Vamshi,

You are probably seeing these warnings as your AppMon server is running in a virtualised VMware environment and it doesn't have dedicated (reserved) CPU & Memory resources.

This is not a serious issue, but in such environments we've seen customers ending up with the VMware host being shared between so many machines that the resources AppMon actually had access to were very low and ended up degrading the AppMon Server's performance.

We always recommend having dedicated resources for the AppMon Server to avoid such situations.

Hi @Radu

how to reserve CPU and Memory for Vmware and cancel this warning?

Walid, To reserve CPU and Memory for the AppMon Server VM, I suggest you discuss this with your VMware administrator. Reserving CPU and Memory for a VM is done from within VMWare.
