Web request not connected to a user action.

Hi ,

We have few web requests that is not connected to a user action.

Seemingly there are some async calls which is going on after the respective user action is ended.

And these web requests are not connected to any user action.

Do we have a way to fix it ? A way to link the web request to a user action using a ID or something?

Hi,

Would you be able to provide a screenshot? There can be web requests within a visit that are not tied to a user action, and that can be the correct behavior, especially if it's a small amount of requests.

First, I would double check your UEM settings for Web Applications to make sure that all the modules your App uses are selected (AngularJS, jQuery, etc.) as this can cause user actions to be missed.

Second, it would help if you are able to generate controlled visits yourself, that way you can list all the clicks and page navigations you make, and easily deduce what is and what is not showing as a user action. It is possible that some pages in your app have a structure that is not injecting the JS agent.

Hello,

You should check the firewall constraints for UEM.

HTTP Headers
x-dtPC: In case of parallel XHR requests the JavaScript agent has to set this header which is used by the correlation to link web requests correctly to user actions.

Cookies
dtPC: Page context cookie used to link web requests to user actions.
