I don't have release 7.0 but I am guessing following two things:
Hi Henk. The documentation too shows that the "Enable
continuous transaction storage" is not there anymore in AppMon 7.0 but unfortunately without additional information about it.
For your purposes, you can check if sessions are continuously recorded this way:
If you see the "Start Recording/Stop Recording" options, continuous storage is disabled and vice versa.
it seems our documentation needs to be updated with additional information. What happened to Continuous session recording is the following:
- Continuous session recording is always enabled and cannot be disabled anymore
- However, we now allow to do a manual recording in addition to the continuous recording which was not possible prior to 7.0
So the use case should work as expected. Just start a manual recording during your load test and you will get a session as in 6.5. In addition the data is also available in the live session.

That is great news! I was actually hoping this was the intent.
But I have a follow up question about the recording feature:
I have an EasyTravel travel license and it has not stop/start option on the system profile when I right click. Also, I know of a customer where the start/stop are present but disabled.
I assume this has to do with the license type, but not sure why there are different behaviors.
Do you know why this occurs?
