What rights are needed for user to execute IBM MQ Queue Channel Monitoring Plugin?

We are using IBM MQ Queue Channel Monitoring Plugin for Queue monitoring and Dynatrace 6.5 on production environment. We are not able to configure it because of user's rights issue. We need to monitor following objects:

  • Queue Manager,
  • Channel and
  • Queue

Kindly suggest what all rights needed for the user on different objects to successfully configure said plugin.

Hello Dattatray,

Users rights are not mentioned in the configuration but generally read only should be enough to fetch the required information.

Note: This monitor works for IBM MQ 7.0 and higher.



Hello Babar,

We tried with a read only user but it is not working. When we try with read only user, monitor gets failed with the exception. Please refer attached file for exception.exception-details.txt

We have also checked error logs on MQ server and that also shows insufficient authorities error.

So we need to provide all the rights to the application team so they can create a user with the same rights.
