When warehouse is down, should dynatrace server be down as well

We are upgrading our perf warehouse from one version to another version. I am assuming, we should be have the dynatrace server down at that time. Just want to make sure from the experts

Peter K has an excellent answer on migrating Performance Warehouses here.

In summary:

So, if the disconnect is planned to take longer than 20 minutes, we recommend to

- install the new performance warehouse

- copy the schema and content of all tables _except_ for the measurement_*, percentiles_* and blmeasurements tables

- disconnect the dt server from the old pwh, connect it to the new one, it'll start writing immediately with the correct metadata

- copy over the contents of the tables you left out before (mentioned above)

Thank you. We are not migrating our DB. We have exadata db and we are just upgrading that to different version. So during that upgrade, we need the Dyna server to be down?

i read Peter's reply. So looks like we will lose the data unless we take necessary steps. Thank you
