Why is Hot Sensor Placement Grey Out Although Java Required is High Enough?

Hello Wai,

Looks like these are IBM JVMs for which Hot Sensor Placement is disabled by default. We had something similar happen to us and this is what worked for us:-

"As a result of past problem (pre v1.6 SR23), all IBM JVMs are configured automatically to false. To enabled, please see the following:


Edit the system profile
* Click on the Agent Group for the JVMs
* Click on "Agent Mapping"
* Click the "Advanced" button
* Select "Always On" for the Hot Sensor Placement option

A JVM restart is required for this to take effect."

Wai, To add to what Ari said, feel free to test out to see if HSP works for your IBM runtime, however if problems are encountered, you'll likely know the first time you try HSP on one of your IBM Runtimes. If problems occur, disable it again and heed the original reason it was disabled.
