Hi, This is ryotaro.

I want to backup session data daily during the test term.
Then I want to know could I get session data daily in automatically?

■Is it possible to acquire automatically by dynaTrace function?

■if can't, Is it possible to get the DT session data daily by Linux command?

I want to ask about filesize of sessiondata aswell.

■Please tell me the relationship between transaction volume and file size.
(What is the size of session data including 100000 transactions?)

Best regards

Ryotaro

Session data is stored in proprietary formatted files on the local file system. They are chunked into separate files.
There is a REST interface to access session data. Take a look to see if it addresses your needs: https://community.dynatrace.com/community/pages/vi...

It's very hard to predict session file size based on transaction volume as it depends on things like the number of unique strings (SQL, captured parameters, URLs, class/method names/lengths, etc). The session files are highly indexed to avoid duplication of strings when possible. I suggest you run some tests on your own system to get an accurate understanding for your own application. Another approach would be to use the Deployment Sizing Calculator spreadsheet and play around with transaction volume values and see how it affects session storage requirements, but these are vague numbers. https://community.dynatrace.com/community/display/...
