can we add new issuing class to capture log errors

The following (inherited) methods are instrumented to retrieve logging such information as logging message, severity (logging level), and logger name.

  • Java (JDK) Logging – java.util.logging.Logger.log(java.util.logging.LogRecord)
  • Log4J – org.apache.log4j.Category.forcedLog
  • SAP Logging – com.sap.tc.logging.Log.writeInt(com.sap.tc.logging.LogRecord)
  • Logback – ch.qos.logback.classic.Logger.callAppenders(ch.qos.logback.classic.spi.ILoggingEvent)

The Pega Application I am supporting has a log issuing class that inherited from log4j logger classes

[com.pegarules.generated.activity.ra_action_logerrormessage]

However, the dashlet logging cannot capture the Pega Application log level or log messages

Is there anyway I need to do extra configuration to add this customer log issuing class to Dynatrace to make it able to capture the log messages ?

Thanks for any suggestions or help !

I don't think it's possible. This question should be in Appmon forum not in Developer Community 🙂
