change Appmon 2017 session storage path

Hi guys,

i have appmon 2017 running on centos and i want to change to session storage path from default location to a separate mounted disk.

My Appmon installation directory is /opt/dynatrace-7.0

But while changing dynatrace session storage file path to a separate mount , Appmon server is not picking up the path of a new mount and it only considers the space as available in /opt/dynatrace-7.0

Please help me know what is needed to change the session storage path .

Thanks

Himanshu Mor

Hi Himanshu,

Hope the appmon installation is done with a dedicated userid on the server, by default mount point /opt/dynatrace7-.0 is accessible by the appmon server. But, you have to make sure the new mount point on which you need to store the session has the necessary permission(read/write) such that dynatrace appmon can access the same and also the free space available.

Even I have installed the dynatrace appmon on the centos and I have changed the session storage path to the new location

Note: After changing the absolute path you need to restart the appmon server

Ravi Kumar

Thanks Ravi for the prompt response! it was an issue with disk FS .

it is working now once we got the disk formatted to xfs.

Thanks

Hi,

I have a similar question. What exactly is saved in Stored Sessions Directory? If we have System Profile Monitoring with Recording set to Continuous, where is it saved? Is it the same directory?

Thank you
