getting a specific TAG from HTML and using it for splitting

I have this customer who has several banners in his site. Every banner has a different html tag like this:

data-dtname="CarruselSitioPrivado - personas - Inversiones - Nuevos Asesoría"

the entire HTML would look like this:

<a href="" data-dtname="CarruselSitioPrivado - Premier - Mi Banco - Banner 2" onclick="_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'CarruselSitioPrivado - Premier - Mi Banco', 'Click', 'Banner 2']);"><img src="/medios/images/privado-personas.jpg" alt="Banner 2"></a>

I the customer wants to know how many clients make click on each banner. I tried doing this using the webrequest and the parameter idServicio, but there are other systems, different from the banners, that use this funcionality too. So I need to extract the tags and create a measure for splitting, but i cannot figure it out how to do it?

can you help me, guys?

Hey Patricio

Looking at your sample HTML it seems they are already measuring their clicks using google analyics. I can see this in the onclick event handler. So - if you want to capture these clicks with dynatrace you could do the same as they do with GA right now. Add a call to the dynatrace javascript ADK and REPORT these values back to UEM

Hello Patricio, Have you tried the W3C Timing - Count measure as depicted in snap?

Also, for tagging on lots of Banners, you might adopt some naming pattern to easily identify/categorize them. I don't know if you can apply some filters on dashlets to segregate these. (May be someone else throw light on this?) Regards, Rajesh.

Hey guys,

thanks for the replays

Andi, I have not experience with ADK (not yet !) but I will investigate about this in the future.

Raj, I will try your solution, but first I have raised a ticket (SUPDT-34101) because I have a problem to solve first. In the words of the support team:

"dtSa consumed too early by iframe, thus source action is not propagated"

thank you both!
