Hi

The jboss6.4 is not starting up when the collector is down or not available.

my env .profile has DT_WAIT=3

Has anyone encountered the similar issue? How to resolve it?

Hi Suresh,

I assume JBoss is running on Windows, since you're using the env. variable DT_WAIT - have you tried lowering the value 3 to 1 (second) to see if that helps at all? Two seconds might not seem like much to us, but for some application servers it is the difference between starting up, or not.

I've had a similar issue a long time ago and setting the value to 1 resolved it, if we set it to 2 or higher, it broke the app from starting.

Thanks Andre. I just tried by passing wait=5 in the jboss agentpath, it works. The server is starting up after waiting for 5 seconds.

You're right, the DT_WAIT is for .NET only (slow moment on my end), for Java you have to pass it as part of the agentpath.

Glad you got it going, Suresh!
