jsf ommit purepaths for css, jpeg,...

monique_vanwall

Since we are using JSF for our frontend appliations, we see that files like .css .jpeg,... are extended with .xhtml by JSF itselve. This has as a consequence that the default filtering of these files, for not adding a purepaths is not working and we have a large amount of useless purepaths just for retrieving these files.
This makes it more difficult to filter out the real transactions and also impacts average response time figures.
Does anyone has experience on how to ommit these or any suggestion to do so.

Thx

One option is to modify the sensor rules and exclude certain URL patterns. This would remove the collection of any purepaths that are based on a pattern such as *.css.

To do this, edit the associated profile -> Sensor Group -> Servlet sensor -> Properties and define a URI exclusion rule.
