We have a micro services architecture with multiple instances of the same service. My customer wants to limit the number of instances with agent to only 2 instances.
The trouble comes when the instances wake up on different machines, because they have the same name.
We need to know if there is any way to limit this license assignements, with the current system we only can limit it by agent group and I dont know how to split them.
I'm not sure I understand the question.
You can choose the Agents' name, so you can also choose which Agent ends up in which Agent Group per the mapping. As you already said, you can limit the license assignment per Agent Group.
So why not group the Agents in a way so it makes sense for your licensing requirements? You can put the instances which you want to put a limit on in one Agent Group, and put the other one in a different Agent Group.
As I said, I think I don't understand the question...
