mac client freeze after installing Java 8 update 161

After upgrading my Java version on my Mac, the User Interface of the client no longer responds to Mouse and keyboard input.

Also trying to bring it forward when it was overlapped by another application no longer works.

Does anyone else also see this behaviour, and what to do? I guess by installing an old version and using that for my client it will work again, but that doesn't solve the cause....

Which client version are you on? 7.0.17 contains a fix specifically for mac clients.

If you're on a version 7 but not yet on update 17, I suggest the following:

1. Close the client

2. Adding the -noSplash line to the bottom of the dtclient.ini file:

nano ~/.Dynatrace/Dynatrace 7.0/dtclient.ini
# Add following to end of file
-noSplash
