not able to install java agent on JBOSS 5

Hi All,

we are installing java agent for JBOSS 5 on windows 32 bit server.

we have dynatrace 7 on our side,

we have successfully implemented agent on UAT setup with below argument of agent

set DT_Agent="-agentpath:C:\DT\agent\lib\dtagent.dll=name=App1_PROD_ABFL,server=10.1.62.212:9998"
set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% %DT_Agent%

but when we tried the same for PRODUCTION setup the application was not starting.

so now we have made some modification in the argument below is the new argument

set "JAVA_OPTS=-agentpath:C:\DT\agent\lib\dtagent.dll=name=App1_PROD_ABFL,server=10.1.62.212:9998" %JAVA_OPTS%

my question is will the modified argument work? or we need to make some changes?

Regards,

Mandar

we performed the activity by adding with below argument in JVM startup file and took restart

set "JAVA_OPTS=-agentpath:C:\DT\agent\lib\dtagent.dll=name=App1_PROD_ABFL,server=10.1.62.212:9998" %JAVA_OPTS%

we got error

"could not reserve enough space for object heap"

"could not create the java virtual machine"

below is the attached screeshot.

Hello Mandar,

It seems like you do not have enough heap assigned to your JVM. Is there any way you can assign more to it? The Dynatrace agent only adds about 10MB in overhead and this runs within the JVM so it shouldn't be causing your JVM to break.

Thanks,

David Nicholls
