Hello,

Do you see your sensors in "Deployed Sensors" Tab on your agents in Agent Overview Dashboard ?

Hello @Shyamala P.

Since Method Rules are defined within a Sensor Group, they inherit technology type (Java or .NET) from the group by default if you didn't created/added any custom Sensor Group which you will have to choose while instrumenting the method.

Make sure the sensor pack has been placed for the Agent Group and you also did the hot instrumentation/or application/process restart.

Also make sure the instrumented method has been configured as start PurePaths (Allows calls to methods that match this rule start a new PurePath, if the call is not part of an already started PurePath).

Rule execution order

  • Sensors are evaluated from the first to the last in their order.
  • For every Sensor, these steps are applied:

    • All Sensor Rules are evaluated top down.
    • The first matching Sensor Rule is applied, whether it is an inclusion or an exclusion.
    • After the first match in a Sensor, the evaluation for this Sensor is stopped.
  • Any global excludes override any includes in all Sensors.

Have a look into the below link for more insight.

HI

I have verified all sensors in agent group and placed sensor on methods as well but still not able to see the purepaths

Hello @Shyamala P.

Did you also verify the start PurePaths placed sensor?

Did you restart the process/application to take effect?

Do you know the entry point of PurePath? (The starting point of a PurePath is its entry point. It is the start of the method call chain that makes up the PurePath.) The Entry Points shows an aggregated representation of PurePaths that started at the same entry point.

Have a look on the below link for the better understanding of Entry Points.
