special characters are appearing in the client

Hi,

I am seeing special character or just * symbol evrywhere in the dynatrace client.., in purepath, database queries, alerts.

please let me know how this can be eliminated

Hello Rashmi,

I am not 100% sure but can you check if "User Action Masking" has been checked from your profile > Edit > Data Privacy.

One more thing, the user who has this issue has what kind of role?

It sounds like you are not allowed to view what AppMon considers Confidential Strings, database queries, incident messages, etc. Handling of Confidential Strings

You will need to speak with your AppMon Administrator if you need access to this data.

Thanks for the response. It was due to permission issue and is now resolved.
