v6.5 free trial for UEM any website

ashish_srivasta

I am using v6.5 free trial for UEM and want to use UEM for any website (App which I would not have access to add server side agents). I have Apache 2.2 instrumented in general. I read something like using this webserver as reverse proxy and send your browser traffic to this proxy so that this can add JavaScript agent and send request for monitor. But I was not able to feature it out what would httpd.conf look like? I referred dynatrace document also on this but if someone could give some examples with local port details and all, would be very helpful. Thanks!

Hi Ashish

I think I covered this topic in my YouTube Tutorial called "Dynatrace UEM for Web Performance Optimization" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYzxDq42wxc&t=415s...

Andi

Thank you, Andi! I was now able to do it for http websites like cnn.com in your tutorial. But I am facing issues for https. I just used easyTravel default configuration for Apache reverse proxy and didn't change anything in apache httpd.conf. Per this conf, my browser traffic was sent to localhost 8070 and dynaTrace monitor url was localhost 8079. I mean everything was default per easyTarvel confs. I didn't change anything.

Could you pl help for https conf? thanks!

Error :

[Tue Mar 14 17:14:14 2017] [warn] proxy: No protocol handler was valid for the URL xxxxx.com:443. If you are using a DSO version of mod_proxy, make sure the proxy submodules are included in the configuration using LoadModule.

I havent done it for HTTPS myself. I think there is more configuration change necessary. I think the best is if you google for something like Apache HTTPS Reverse Proxy. I am sure you find some good tutorials
