whats all about restarting agent tiers?

Hi all,

i am updating Dynatrace from 7.0 to 7.0.2 but in process, i was requested to restart agent tiers! Then am afraid of proceeding with this because agent restart means restarting the application. Is it true?

Please advise me

Restarting the agent tiers is necesary to update the agents to the latest update version you have installed but the older versions will have no problems communicating with the updated server and collectors. You can wait until a scheduled maintenance window / restart to have the agents restarted and updated with the latest version. No need to restart them right away unless you're looking to get a critical bug fix or something like that right away.

What should i do now, is to terminate this activity now inthe snapshot?

Just click 'next' and it will take you to a window with all of the agents displayed with their status/version. You can click finish from that view. There's no way to restart the application agents from the client or anything like that so no need to worry about causing a restart or anything like that.
