SLO Normalize Error budget Vs Not normalizing error budget

Hello,

Recently we have enabled normalize error budget setting ,However just want to know in what case we should use normalize error budget and when to untoggled it.

what are the basic difference as the values seems bit confusing on dashboard.

Hello Amita, 

Normalizing the error budget will give you the percentage left to hit the limit you set for the SLO. 

If you don't normalize the number shown, the error budget is the difference between the SLO objective and the SLO status. 

Imagine that your objective is 90% and the status is 96%.

With normalization, You have an error budget left of +60% of the error budget. 

With non-normalization, you have an error budget of +6%.

However can you please suggest in what cases we should consider this normalization setting here. Just for an easy understanding.
