I grew up in Amman, Jordan, and spent most of my childhood playing football with friends. I was a good player, though our games often ended in fights, especially when I lost 😃. Despite this, I excelled academically, achieving high scores in school. For the first 15 years of my life, I lived in a city near the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth's surface at 418 meters below sea level, where my father worked. The Dead Sea's water is nearly nine times as salty as ocean water.
In my first year of university, I started as an electrical engineering major but preferred computer science, so I switched to that instead. During university, I excelled in Oracle programming and databases. However, my career path changed after graduation.
I have lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for over 15 years. Currently, I work as a monitoring specialist for one of the leading banks in the region, and I have more than 20 years of experience in IT.
What is your professional background?
I started my career as a System Admin, specialized in Microsoft products. Then, I worked in the automation field for a couple of years before transitioning to the monitoring and observability field, focusing on infrastructure monitoring tools. Over the last 10 years, I've worked in various roles, including presales consultant and operations as a monitoring system administrator.
I enjoy working with monitoring tools because they provide critical insights into system performance and health, allowing for proactive issue resolution. I find it rewarding to ensure systems run smoothly and efficiently, and I appreciate the challenge of analyzing data to optimize infrastructure and applications. Additionally, monitoring tools play a vital role in maintaining high service availability, which is essential for any organization’s success.
How does Dynatrace fit into the picture, and what was the biggest challenge Dynatrace helped you overcome?
I've been fortunate to collaborate with highly skilled colleagues who encouraged me to enhance my expertise in infrastructure monitoring, particularly in working with Dynatrace. Their support and guidance were invaluable as they helped me navigate challenges and provided insightful answers to my questions.
When it comes to production issues, Dynatrace is indispensable for us. For any new application, the Dynatrace team must prepare two performance reports: one for top management and another technical report for the development team. These reports should include recommendations and inputs to enhance and tune the application for better performance.

Tell us something about you that most people don’t know. What is your biggest joy or passion in life?
After work, in my free time, I enjoy watching Real Madrid games with friends and colleagues at the café. I’ve always had a passion for cooking, and whenever we get together with friends, I take the opportunity to cook and prepare delicious meals for everyone. In addition to cooking, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me active. Playing football remains one of my favorite pastimes, and I also love swimming and biking.
