Kubernetes - New Cluster - Logs - FluentBit

Hi

I need some clarification regarding log monitoring behavior in the UI. When toggling the Fluent Bit switch ON or OFF, I see the following message:

rgarzon1_0-1743622090700.png

"Logs won't be monitored on this cluster."

From my understanding, OneAgent has traditionally been sufficient for ingesting logs, and Fluent Bit was an optional component. However, this message suggests that Fluent Bit is now mandatory.

Could you confirm if this is a recent change in how logs are collected? Is Fluent Bit now the only option for log ingestion in Kubernetes environments?

Thanks in advance for your help.

i am understanding really bad or its the new mode

Hi,
It isn't required in CloudNative or Classic Full Stack approach.
In Application only (or kubernetes platform monitoring) you need it to collect logs (but exist also other options, like OpenTelemetry). Anyway our log module will arrive soon.

HI @yanezza

I understand, thank you!
My question was more about the UI behavior—specifically, the way the wizard is designed. It could potentially lead to false assumptions, like the one I made.
