Define Management Zone using Process Group tags

Ingrida

Hi folks,

I have a strange issue with defining Management Zone using Process Group tags: I can not define tag value (just if tags is there).

It works with host tags:

Is it a feature or bug? And how I can overcome this?

Thanks!

Ingrida

Are you sure that the tag you are using for the Process Group tag has a value?

Tested on my SaaS tenant and the behavior is normal:

Hi @dannemca ,

Thanks for the answer, it makes me hope it is a bug / missing feature I will get same with some new version of Dynatrace 🙂

We have DT Managed offline and running on 1.234.124 currently.

Very good question to verify if what I try to use exist, so I did and yes, it does:

Actually we use autotagging for it and we tag process groups and inherit tags down to hosts and up to services. and as it is based on environment metadata of host which is set up out of our orchestration system during installation it is always there.

Hi @dannemca ,

Ok, now it becomes weird. I did in on another our environment (same DT version, Production instead of UAT) and it works.

So, I went back to our UAT, and it kinda works: I have selection of tags propossed, and it works for ones in the propossed list. However, ist this one not in the list and it does not work for it:

tag:

try to set up with different tag:

try to set up with this tag (which is not shown in the drop down list):

The only difference between UAT and Production:

in UAT we habe kubernetes monitored and a lot of kubernetes tags are visible in the list (limitation of max tags in drop down?..)

Best Regards,

Ingrida
