1. How to apply Management Zone for Dashboard and Notebooks in New UI?

Hi,
Hope this message finds you well!
1. After looking around it seems like the best way to reference/apply Management Zones in the new gen dashboards would be to create a variable that contains all the management zones. Then selecting the dropdown and choosing the specific management zone you want to filter by. Please note that the "filter variables will only affect a dashboard when referenced in tiles". Using the management zones in Notebooks may be a little different. Within the DQL queries you will likely need to attach a "managementZones" field. Then utilize the filter feature which look something similar to this, filter managementZones =="<management zone name>".
2. As for sharing dashboards there is a "Share" feature which allows you to "add people and groups in your environment". As for making sure that they only have access to specific resources I would suggest looking into the Mange IAM policies documentation. Ultimately these can be configured within "Account Management".

Hi Nelson,
Thank you! I’ll check the documentation. I have one more question:Can an external user be part of Dynatrace without having any permissions? If so, in the new dashboard app, can I use the share option to provide read access to a single dashboard? Would that work, ensuring the user can access only that specific dashboard, without having access to other dashboards or services in Dynatrace?

Yes, an external user that is part of Dynatrace may not have permissions to do anything in the environment. For the new dashboards app, you can share individual dashboards, and they shouldn't have access to other ones without being previously added. I've linked the Dynatrace documentation about managing dashboards below.

Hope this helps!

Hi Nelson,
Wow, that's fantastic. Thank you. I have checked the link and noticed that we can either share access or generate a link to share with the user. However, I am unsure about creating a user without setting up any default permissions. How can I check this? Additionally, could you provide some documentation on user-level access, including which users should have specific access and how to set up default or custom permissions?

I think referring to this from above may address that question. As well as this documentation: Permission management — Dynatrace Docs.
