Have the disk space requirements for OneAgent on Linux changed sometime over the past year? I had thought that it was necessary to ensure that there was 1.8 GB of free space on /opt and 3 GB of space on /var, but according to what I can see documented currently it looks like almost all the space for installation/operation is taken up on /opt and the space required on /var is negligible.
According to the link below, 5.4 GB is recommended. Is this all on /opt?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Dynatrace Managed installer is using space in /opt and /var/opt by default. OneAgent according to my experience is located mostly in /opt. Space is allocated for logs and downloading new versions of binaries. Until restart there can be option that you have there new and old binary together.

Hi Jeff,
The page has been updated few times over the past year, so it can be said that the requirements have been changing. However, in case of Linux the values provided on said page always referred to agent installation path (by default /opt/dynatrace/oneagent), so indeed the whole 5.4GB is for /opt.
For the currently released agent storage requirements for /var are negligible, but please be aware that this may change in future, what of course will be reflected in the documentation.
I'll open a ticket with our documentation team to make the requirements on this page clearer.
Regards,
Tomasz
