Docker container logs : Do survive after container is gone

Since docker containers logs, which typically are just the stdout/stderr of the running process, do not survive after the container disappears does Dynatrace logging store this information persistently? or is the specific container logs lost once the container is gone?

Currently log content is served directly form the disk of monitored host, so if the file disappears, its content is not available anymore. In near future we will offer also an option of persistent storage for log management though.

Update to this question: if you're using default docker logging driver, it is now fully supported by Dynatrace Log Analytics. Logs in Docker logging framework are kept on host disk so they survive container's termination.
