I am seeing similar messages in the dotnet log on my Azure App Service. What is being lost here?

PATH-DROPPING: 55968 of 60106 SubPath(s) have been dropped

Log Path: D:\home\SiteExtensions\Dynatrace.Agent\1.175.240.20190910-170422\log\dotnet

Log File: ruxitagent_IIS_app_pool_myappname[myappname]_1800.0.log

Means that your environment reach max number of pure paths configured in your environment. If you have managed version you can increase it in environment settings. On SaaS this is max limit.
