Dear All,

Is there a way to import LDAP groups in one shot?

The use case is to import all the LDAP groups used in the AppMon to provide them the access on Dynatrace Managed.

Regards,

Babar

There is no such option. You need to create manually groups in dynatrace, and map them to LDAP ones one by one.

Hello @Sebastian K.

I am not creating any local group to map with the LDAP group but only importing them one by one which is a very tedious job, so I thought, maybe there is a way to import all the groups in one go.

I think Dynatrace should think about to make administrators' life easy.

Babar

There is many things to do, for example using LDAP only as authenticator (permissions are added locally per user, only authentication is going through LDAP). We have as well clients with mess in LDAP groups, so some improvements that let as handle such tasks will be good as well 🙂

Hello @Sebastian K.

100% agree. I posted an idea related to the same feature enhancement, so you can vote for early consideration.

Hey, there's finally an update to that. Now, with Dynatrace Managed 1.208 you can opt-out from automatic assignment of groups from LDAP and then use UI or REST API to add all users you want. For instance, export list of users from LDAP and by using REST API call add them to Dynatrace and assign groups.
