Hi

We received a update to our Dynatrace SaaS cluster 1.244.  Looking forward to seeing what is in the release.

Bad news - No release notes.

I even changed the url of release notes from 243 to 244 and no luck.

Dynatrace, please fix this.  Release notes should be put out first before updating the system - IMO.

I am seeing this behavior since 4 or five releases back... first we get the release, then the notes. We should have the notes before release.

Agreed!

I am working in background on this.  Please provide some input to me so I can share with DT:

From DT:

When would you ideally like the release notes communicated? I would like to provide that feedback when I have the gentleman’s attention in my meeting. Any other things that Dynatrace can do better that you would like me to share?

In my case, I have weekly calls with a Product Specialist that provide me "spoilers" of next release, but that's it. I know what is supposed to come in future, but with no more details, as we have in the release notes.

I think 5 days interval is a good timing.

Also, if we could have the docs updated with new features, would also be great. For example... in 1.244 we can now execute Synthetic tests on-demand... but there is no doc for it yet (at least I could not find it).

Updating, doc for synthetic on-demand is now present, and a blog post too!!!

Thanks, I always read the release notes.

The true delight is in the finding out rather than in the knowing.

Hello from the Dynatrace Doc team!

We understand how important it is to have the notes on time. The past two releases were an unfortunate confluence of technical and people problems.

We're now working on a process that will help us avoid such situations in the future.

If nothing goes wrong, we publish the preview release notes ahead of the release. They're just not displayed in the menu. For example, here's the preview of the SaaS 1.245 release.

Note that you can expect more content to appear as we approach the release.

Thanks for all the feedback!

Hi! We just got a fix / release for Dynatrace Managed to our clusters. But I cannot see the relevant release notes for this.

This has been, and is a common theme, for pretty much all releases.

Its very difficult to evaluate and plan whether or not to upgrade based off of this.

Please doc first, then push release.

Get 268?  https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/whats-new/release-notes/managed/sprint-268

Course, it still says pre release 😞

Hi!

Yet again there is a new release of Dynatrace Managed without any release notes.
Please try to provide release notes at the same time, or before the releases are pushed!
