Hi Guys,
how can we rename tenants in DT managed environment?
what are the implications of oneagents & data monitored in those tenants? is there any loss ?
Thanks

Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi Himanshu,
If you open the environment in the CMC besided the name you have a little pencil icon. That allows you to rename the environment. This won't lose any data.
Edit: here is the documentation for this: https://www.dynatrace.com/support/help/installatio...
best regards
Franz
Hello Franz,
Thanks for the link , i can see there is an option to rename.
But there is no mention for data loss or implications.
As i understand from Appmon , we have the option to rename system profiles but it has implications in old data captured for that system profile.
Just worried if there are any such implications here also?
Thanks

Hi Himanshu,
see Ugochukwu's answer below. Agents use the tennant ID instead of the tennant name to connect to the correct environment.

Hi Himanshu,
The agents use the tenant's ID to identify what tenant to connect to and not the user-defined tenant's name. This is why there should be no impact if you change the name as the tenant ID does not change. You can see this in the ruxitagentproc.conf file on the monitored host.
Thanks

Thanks Ugochukwu! This helps and answers what i was looking for exactly.
