What is the level of difficulty to convert a Dynatrace Managed environment to a Dynatrace SaaS environment?

We are planning a conversion from AppMon to Dynatrace. We currently use Dynatrace RUM and Synthetic (along with DCRum). We are trying to weigh the differences between Managed and SaaS; if we were to use Managed initially and then move to SaaS after the first year, how difficult would this be to do?

Dynatrace Managed and SaaS are different products and there are no means to migrate from one to another back and forth.

Select Dynatrace Managed if you have to keep data on premises. Otherwise select Dynatrace SaaS as it will be easier to you and not to bother about the infrastructure.

Hi Bill,

I have the same situation here, DCRUM, 2xAMD + AppMon + ESM, may I know how's your deployment finally?

Thanks.

Hi,

What I concern is also the bandwidth usage / data transfer rate, the NAM server, AppMon server, application servers are in local data center, if we transfer performance data to Dynatrace SaaS then bandwidth usage and data transfer speed will be considered. Is there any document describes such bandwidth / data transfer rate information?

Thanks a lot.
