change default port

hi team,

i have a question from my customer, by default port that use from agent to dynatrace manage is 443, can i change the default port to another port number ?

You can change the address and port but you need to take care of it yourself eg by placing a LB in front of the cluster.

Is it really like that? is there a guarantee there will be no problem after changing the port? sorry I ask this, because the customer is too worried about the production.

OneAgent will try to whatever Address you configure. But you need to make sure it’s reachable by all. By default you get :443 port to be used with NGINX installed on each node. You can’t reconfigure the port of our services but you can extend the infrastructure with your own.

To change communication address for OneAgent traffic

  1. Select Home from the Cluster Management Console navigation menu.
  2. Click cluster nodes tile and select the node's row you want to reconfigure to access the node's overview page.
  3. Change the address in IP address and port for OneAgent traffic
